Women of Grace – Quilting
The Women of Grace are an avid group of quilters who work from Sept. – May to sew quilt tops to batting and backings. In spring the quilts are gathered up and shipped to Canadian Lutheran World Relief, where they are then sent to various projects, refugee camps and other places that need aid all over the globe.
Quilting takes place one Monday morning a month from 9am-noon. Please contact the Church Office for more information.
Potluck Lunches
Almost every Sunday following our worship service we welcome our members and guests to join us for a potluck lunch. We enjoy the time each week to talk to each other and celebrate the little events in each others lives, such as birthdays and new babies.
North Rolla Lutheran Church Service
For one Sunday every June we pack up our hymnals and have a service out at our mother church, the historic North Rolla Lutheran Church. The service is usually followed by a lunch at the North Rolla Hall. It’s always a wonderful experience to worship together in such a beautiful and well taken care of old church.
Christmas Advent Season
Each Advent season we decorate our worship space with beautiful banners hung from the ceiling of our sanctuary. A group of our members and friends go out to the country to cut down a natural evergreen to bring back and decorate with handmade stitched ornaments made by our very own congregation.
One year we had a “Seniors Christmas Pageant”.
Fundraisers, Dinners, and more
We have numerous dinners and fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money for various causes from supplies for our quilters, to aid for refugees and more. These are wonderful events and everyone leaves well fed – both in body and spirit.
Our home is your home
We are happy to work with various groups in our community who are in need of space for events and meetings. Currently the Dawson Creek Girl Guides use our church for their weekly meetings for girls from 5 – 14 years of age. Other groups who have used our space in the past are: The South Peace Hospice & Palliative Care Society and the Dawson Creek Piecemakers Quilt Guild.
If you are interested in renting our space, please contact the church office.
